Tamborine Mountain Distillery is Australia's most awarded distillery and liquor brand. One of Australia's smallest operating pot still distilleries, but of world renown, this boutique distillery attracts visitors from all over Australia, UK, Europe, America, Canada, New Zealand and Asia.

With the combination of rich red volcanic soils and fresh spring water, the abundant fruit of the mountain is fermented and distilled.  Small Pot Stills are used to create the superb spirit which is the essence and foundation of their Liqueurs, Schnapps, Vodka and Eaux de Vie.

Owners and directors Michael and Alla Ward moved to Tamborine Mountain in 1992 and in 1993 were granted their liquor licences, leading Alla, of Russian heritage, to begin experimenting with the fruit grown on their property and creating a small range of liqueurs and vodkas. In 1998 the distillery opened to the public with half a dozen products. The range now boasts over 70. Presented in beautifully hand painted bottles, the range of liqueurs and spirits are manufactured using a wide variety of Australian Botanicals, fruits, herbs, seeds etc sourced from the local region making them a truly unique product expressive of the local area.

This family owned and operated boutique distillery is set amongst a luscious backdrop where the bronze fountain and stone Tudor style buildings in the courtyard transport you to an old world ambience of colonial times. A visit to the distillery is a warm and welcoming experience and a must during a visit to Tamborine Mountain. Opening hours Mon thru Sat 10am thru 3pm.
