P.J. Art Gallery is owned and operated by Artist Peter J Hill and his wife Judy.

A visit to this unique warm and friendly Gallery is a must while touring Tamborine Mountain, as all paintings have a Peter J Hill signature on them

Peter is a self taught artist who's paintings are distinguished by special observations of his subject, which allows him to achieve a realism that reflects a sensitivity and respect for the rural countryside and the colours of the Australian Outback.They stand without the need of explanation and will continue to be respected and admired for generations to come.

The gallery is open 7 days from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Under the guidance of professional photographers, you will explore the world of photography and learn practical skills that will soon have you turning your images from snapshots to photographs you will be proud to frame and hang. Participant numbers are always kept low to ensure you get individual attention, the maximum benefit and all your questions are answered.

There is plenty to do for non-photography partners. On registration to the Tamborine Mountain Photographic Retreats, participants receive a 'Welcome to Tamborine Mountain' package including vouchers, map, a 'what's on calendar', and loads of interesting information.

Plant enthusiasts and Garden clubs from all over Australia make the trip to Tamborine Mountain Nursery. Collectors and wholesale producers of rare plants, you will be amazed at the variety and affordability of some of the rarest stock available. Some lines are reserved exclusively for the retail section of the nursery, and are not sold on to other retailers.

Over 50 varieties of magnolias, 100 varieties of camellias plus all the Japanese maples and Chinese michelias a collector could dream of.

If you visit in early spring you will be rewarded with Australia's largest fuchsia crop, an inspiring display of colour and beauty.

Hidden away in the Gold Coast Hinterland lies Tamborine Mountain Distillery, Australia's most Internationally Awarded Distillery and Liquor Brand. With the combination of rich red volcanic soils and fresh Spring water, the abundant fruit of the mountain is fermented and distilled.

Set in a charming tudor style backdrop, Tamborine Mountain Distillery offers a unique European experience with products made entirely from Australian produce by Australians.

Family owned and operated this boutique distillery uses small copper pot stills and traditional methods of distillation to create their range of over 70, naturally produced and chemical free, fine liqueurs, vodka, schnapps and eaux de vie.

Nardoo Lavender Shop has the largest selection of high quality Australian and New Zealand lavender products in Queensland complemented by an eclectic range of giftware, collectables and garden accessories.

We have ample parking and are located in Lahey Road, North Tamborine which is accessable from either Long Road or Main Western Road.

A boutique cheese company producing handcrafted cheeses using traditional cheese making methods and recipes. Our high quality of local milk produces delicious varieties of Camembert, Blue Vein, Washed Rind and Fetta to name but a few.

Visitors can view the cheese making process and purchase directly from the cheese makers.

Thousands of second hand books and magazines are for sale at Piccabeen, the only second hand bookshop on Tamborine Mountain.

The shop also sells new books, written by local authors and a few new environmental titles. Hardcovers, paperbacks, children's books, novels, non-fiction: it is all there. And many of them are in excellent condition.

From only fifty cents up to a few dollars you will definitely find some books of your choice. And, because the shop is owned and run by the volunteers of Tamborine Mountain Landcare, the entire turn over is being used for the conservation and revegetation of the local natural environment: the rainforests.

Isn't this a great way to contribute to the preservation of Tamborine Mountain's beautiful and unique nature: buying a lovely preloved book?
