Camelot Cottages and B and B Camelot Cottages B and B Bedroom

Centrally located near the distillery, wineries, markets and National Parks, Camelot is found at the very top of Tamborine Mountain, almost opposite the Hang Glider lookout, in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland. With certified ratings from AADRS at 4.5 diamonds and AAAT at 4.5 stars (cottage product) our luxury retreat offers the finest double certified accommodation and hospitality on the Mountain. We are also number one on Trip Advisor.

We have listings on this website both for our Queen bedded room product and separately for our luxury spa cottages.

As one of our two products, Camelot offers top quality ‘room only’ accommodation in our separate guest wing that runs out to the side of our single storey farmhouse. Unlike a B&B, you are not staying in our house and you have your own key and entrance to your ‘Mountain Escape’ room. In our guest wing we have three beautiful queen bedded rooms, each with their own en-suite for your comfort, with each one opening out onto a large Queenslander deck. Each room has reverse cycle inverter air-conditioning, luxurious gum wooden floors, LCD TV’s and comfortable chairs, coffee table, bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The queen beds have firm mattresses with soft toppers and are adorned with our own contemporary white linen and comforters.

We enjoyed a 4.5 star rating with AAAT as a B&B until a few years ago with these ‘rooms’ facilities but we decided to stop serving our huge breakfasts as our guests saw no reason to rise early for breakfast when the mountains attractions do not open until 10am. So everyone at Camelot now tends to sleep in and breakfast out as part of their overall mountain experience. You are also welcome to bring your own cereals or snacks, however cooking in the rooms are not allowed due to fire regulations. Recently we have introduced a ‘light breakfast’ option of juice and cereal that we put in your bar fridge at a small additional cost.

Dear Bernadette, Thank you so much for being a part of our special day! We were so thrilled with our marriage ceremony which you delivered so professionally.

You helped us develop such a fun yet emotional service which was complimented by all our guests. You provided unlimited assistance and guidance, nothing was ever a problem.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with you as Richard and I begin our married life together.

Again we would love to thank you for your patience(!) in the lead up to the ceremony awaiting our vows. We enjoyed the laughter and tears of the service but also the laughter we shared with you in the planning stages. I just knew you were the gal for me when you teased me about forgetting Richards name at the wedding expo! I will be in contact for the naming ceremonies that we hope will take place in the not too distant future. Not pregnant yet but just saying!

Much love, Angela and Richard — 16.03.13

Right from the moment I met Bernadette she stood out from the other celebrants I had been introduced to. She was lovely natured, positive, understanding, encouraging & humorous. Furthermore she knew how to tailor the ceremony so it was more unique to us as a couple.

In the crazy hectic weeks leading up to our wedding, she was so patient with me, I was so unorganised & thought for sure that I must have been one of the most difficult clients to work with but she was so patient & understanding & I am forever grateful! Even after the rehearsal my whole bridal party were saying how much they loved her, she certainly was a cut above the rest.

One of the biggest challenges for the wedding day was the fear of saying my vows. I was so sure that I would be too nervous to speak but as soon as I walked down the aisle & it was just me, my fiancé & Bernadette, I immediately felt at ease. She brought so much comfort to me & made me feel so relaxed throughout the entire ceremony (I could barely believe it myself) & once it came to the vows I felt so calm & I have Bernadette to thank for!

    Candice & Shane — 20.10.13

Dear Bernadette, Mark and I would like to say thank you for all that you have done for us and making our ceremony one to remember. You are such a beautiful person and the words you spoke during our ceremony goes to show just how much effort and thought you put into your work.

The ceremony was the thing I was most nervous about and you put my mind at ease and made it fun and enjoyable. You made the whole process so much easier for us with your guidance and knowledge. You have been a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone.

You have definitely found your calling in life as you are so good at what you do and have so much passion. Once again thank you so much for everything, we really appreciate the extent in which you went to making our day extra special.

    Love Mark & Sammi — 19.12.13

Why pay more??? Our accommodation is pristine, our location is superb and you do not get charged for a huge breakfast you can get cheaper elsewhere on the mountain in an inflated ‘B&B’ room rate! The old style B&B is going, going and will soon be gone – room only or fully self contained is the current way of the world. See also our listing for our top rated ‘luxury spa cottages’. Otherwise please click through to our own website for further information. Or call us on +61 7 5545 4380 and we will be pleased to assist you with your questions.

In order to maintain Camelot as a getaway for couples, Camelot rarely accepts children and guests who have booked as two adults and then arrive with children will be turned away with loss of deposit. If you have children, then please contact us before booking to discuss.

Similarly, We do not accept our clients visitors or other third parties onto the property as experience shows that this generally disturbs our other guests. If the necessity arises for a visitor to meet with a client we insist on prior notification and our decision to refuse entry is final.

Sssshhh – it’s a secret! – We would like to tell you something about the mountain’s accommodation dynamics. Whether you are coming to the mountain for a getaway, a romantic escape or simply attending a wedding we strongly suggest that you do not leave your booking until the last minute. The mountain has just over 200 rooms available and, as one of South East Queensland’s premier getaway destinations, the mountain’ quality accommodation is full for about 45 weekends of every year!

For this reason it is rare that a quality property (other than the larger motels) will sell you just one night’s accommodation on a Saturday night. Yes we know you cannot leave the kids for two nights and you only have to go to the wedding for one day, but the truth is that most properties do not need to sell ANY one night business at weekends.

Any one night Saturday availability is put up on the direct booking websites in the second half of the week immediately preceding the current weekend. It usually gets snapped up within an hour or two.

So while making the journey to come here, book early and stay for two nights. Relax, de-stress and enjoy. You may be surprised at how much there is to see and do.
