Tamborine Mountain Caravan & Camping
Tamborine Mountain Caravan and Camping Park is a camping ground set amongst the trees in the northern valley of beautiful Tamborine Mountain. A spring fed creek is within walking distance of the caravan park with it has many swimming holes, a great place to cool down on a hot day. Open fires are allowed (in the designated areas at each site), you can bring your own wood, collect fallen branches or purchase wood from the shop.
We have large shady sites with or without power, at different angles and all with lovely bush aspects. For those who prefer a hassle free camping experience try our Deluxe Safari Tents, just walk in, make the bed (ask and we might even be able to do that for you) and then sit back and enjoy camping at, if not it’s best (but close), certainly it’s easiest.
We are in a property called Thunderbird Park adjacent to several business including horse riding, Adventure Parc , Laser Skirmish and Thunderegg mining. All of these activities are within a short walk of the campers. Also other Tamborine Mountain attractions are only a short drive away, like Gallery Walk and National Parks, craft shops and art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries. Glow worm cave and Skywalk. Tourist maps and information are available at the office.
Thunderbird Park Camping & Adventure

Explore the natural bushland along the walking tracks, see hundreds of colourful birds, Australian native animals and rare plants. Lucky visitors may catch a glimpse of Plato the Platypus, Thunderbird Park’s most elusive resident.
It may not be seen as traditional camping catering, but enjoy a hearty hot and cold buffet breakfast with the birds, chill out on the Terrace or dine in style in the Rainforest Grill and Lounge Bar. The Terrace serves light meals and snacks all day every day, homemade pizza from the wood-fired oven is a speciality.
A variety of attractions are available onsite including bush walks and natural rock pools for the hotter months.
